Dr. Prabhat Chandra Thakur is a fellowship-trained Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist with more than 14 years of dedicated experience in high-volume thyroid and head & neck cancer surgery in Nepal.
Over his 14-year career at a high-volume cancer center, Dr. Thakur has performed more than 2,500 thyroid surgeries, including approximately 120 thyroid cancer operations annually. His extensive experience includes thyroid cancer surgery, therapeutic neck dissection, complex and recurrent thyroid cancer surgery, and management of advanced thyroid malignancies.
Dr. Thakur is recognized for pioneering scarless endoscopic thyroid surgery in Nepal. He performs advanced remote-access approaches including transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy and transaxillary endoscopic thyroidectomy, providing appropriately selected patients with a surgical approach that avoids a conventional visible neck scar.

Head and Neck Cancer Surgery
